Diversity and Inclusion

At Aledade, we don’t just accept differences, we celebrate them! We recognize that diversity makes us stronger and better positioned to pursue our mission. Bethesda, Maryland is home to our headquarters, but we partner with practices all across the country. The communities Aledade serves are as diverse as the members of our team who work alongside them. From the rural towns of the Appalachian Mountains to urban boroughs in New York City, Aledade’s partner practices and team members come together with a shared mission of doing what is good for patients, doctors, and society. 

We also know that having a diverse team is not enough. Aledade believes that for our company to thrive, all of our employees must feel included in and connected to our company’s culture. Flexible work arrangements

Aledade supports our team members who seek flexible work arrangements, whenever possible. While our headquarters is in Bethesda, MD, over 60% of our team works remotely across 40+ states.

Paid family leave

Aledade believes family and work-life balance are important for everyone. That is why we offer 12 weeks paid parental leave to all new parents (that’s right, mothers and fathers!), biological and adoptive, regardless of gender or identity.

Gender-neutral restrooms

Employees may access the restrooms that match their gender identity, or may utilize one of our private, gender-neutral restrooms if they prefer. Regardless of how you identify, you can be comfortable.

Sharing our lives

Our culture is one where we enjoy sharing our experiences and life events with one another. On our #General slack channel, you will find pictures of new babies, pets, team outings, as well as various channels where employees can share their hobbies and interests such as Fantasy Football, craft brews, and recipe exchanges. Additionally, each week, a member of our team will present their typical day. These casual presentations have become Aledade’s most popular presentation series, offering a unique opportunity to learn more about our colleagues – their backgrounds, communities, families, cultures, interests, what inspires them, and what working at Aledade means to them.

AFFINITY RESOURCE GROUPS (ARGs)

Our ARGs support building our inclusive culture, and help lead our efforts in community-building, mentorship, and programs to build awareness. Our current ARGs include: Pride, Latinx, Women in Leadership, Veterans, and Black & African Diaspora.

Professional Development

At Aledade, we foster a culture of knowledge sharing, including best practices and lessons learned. We are committed to the professional growth and development of employees, including growth within and across roles. Some of the programs we offer to encourage this growth and development include:

Aledade established an educational assistance program to support employees’ pursuit of knowledge, skills, and job effectiveness through approved institutions of learning.

Aledade recognizes that managers play a pivotal role in the growth and development of team members. That’s why Aledade takes manager training seriously and offers trainings that target topics such as creating development opportunities for team members, giving effective feedback, recognizing team members, creating cohesive teams, new manager training, and much more!

We take time to celebrate each other and our successes throughout the year. Each week we celebrate members of our team at our All Hands meeting. People are nominated for a “Farzie” (named after our founder, Farzad Mostashari) by their teammates or Aledaders from other departments based on their outstanding work and living by our values of grit, service, and inclusion. In addition, we maintain an active and popular “High Fives” Slack channel where colleagues can call out the excellent work of their colleagues at any time.

Beginning your career at Aledade will allow you to work with inspiring and mission-driven individuals, as well as provide you with the opportunity to strengthen your skill-set in an intellectually challenging & rewarding environment. We have mapped out a more defined program focused on more recent graduates in an effort to build both their skills, as well as career journey at Aledade. 

Aledade offers a variety of graduate and undergraduate internship programs each summer. We will be reviewing these in the near future. In this program, you can expect to:
